The Beauty Edit Gallery Gets Bigger and More Personal With Its Third Issue

The latest refresh of The Beauty Edit Gallery at Spatio brings together brands making their retail debut, emerging local names, and beauty conversations that extend well beyond skincare and makeup.
Reading Time: 9 minutes

Every good magazine gives you a reason to pick up the next issue: a new story, a new voice, something you didn’t know you wanted to read about until you saw it on the cover. The Beauty Edit Gallery at Spatio, where beauty stories come to life, works much the same way.

Launched on August 20 at Spatio, Opus Mall, the gallery’s third issue brings a fresh mix of names, discoveries, and stories to its shelves—including several making their way into physical retail for the first time. It brought together community and media friends, with founders and representatives from the new brands on hand to share the stories behind their products and ideas.

If you’re new to the gallery, it’s The Beauty Edit’s retail space at Opus Mall, created to give Filipino beauty brands, both established and emerging, a place to be discovered in person. With every issue, the shelves change—and so does the conversation around what beauty can be.

This time, family-owned skincare company Resuron and celebrity-founded fragrance label Kalmellow make their retail debut, alongside up-and-coming fragrance brands Nuscent and Olfacto; skin and body care brands Pina Beauty and Abu; home and lifestyle brand Cathy Kathy; Korean-manufactured beauty lines UPMAKE and BLOCKS; and wellness brand SecondSpring.

But the newness isn’t just about what’s arrived. This issue also makes room for conversations that don’t always get shelf space—from hormonal skin and midlife wellness to intimate hygiene and beauty products designed around everyday life.

Here’s what’s inside.

Wellness in Focus

For years, the beauty shelf has had plenty to say about pores, pigmentation, and fine lines—but surprisingly little about everything else that comes with being a woman. That’s why this issue introduces a new Women’s Wellness section: a space for conversations around beauty, hormones, health, and the different stages of a woman’s life.

Because what women need from beauty changes, too. Hormonal shifts throughout the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause can affect skin, energy, and overall well-being. Yet many routines are still built around the idea that our needs stay the same every day, all year round.

The section starts with a cycle guide, which looks at how hormonal fluctuations may affect the skin at different points in the month and what that could mean for your routine. It features editor-recommended products from Russ & Rose, VMV Hypoallergenics, Habitude, Resuron, and Cathy Kathy, reflecting different approaches to everyday beauty and self-care.

The monthly cycle is just one of many shifts a woman’s body moves through. The Women’s Wellness Wall maps out how skincare and body care can shift with it.

But women’s wellness doesn’t stop with the monthly cycle.

Perimenopause and menopause bring their own set of changes, from shifts in skin and energy to the growing importance of supporting muscle and bone health—yet women are often given surprisingly little practical guidance.

That’s where SecondSpring adds another perspective. Created for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, its Premium Women’s Blend combines protein, VERISOL® collagen, and essential vitamins and minerals in one daily formula. Rather than focusing only on how midlife changes look, it considers nutritional needs that become increasingly relevant at this stage of life.

The idea is personal for founder Jasmine Vinculado. She shared that her husband, Carlos Vargas, formulated the blend for her after she was diagnosed with cancer, to help her thrive through midlife transitions. “Some men give flowers. My husband formulated this for me,” she said.

These aren’t niche concerns. They’re natural stages of womanhood, and the new Women’s Wellness section gives them a place on the shelf—and in the conversation.

The New Names

New brands call for new ground. The gallery is expanded to welcome the latest in F-beauty, spread across the space to show how each fits into a real routine.

Sun protection welcomes BLOCKS, with a science-led approach to everyday SPF. Its lineup includes the Cool-Down Hydro Light Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++, Red Calming Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++, and Tone-Up Peach Priming Sunscreen—lightweight formulas designed for comfortable daily wear, with options for different skin needs and finishes.

For makeup, UPMAKE enters the complexion conversation with its Tone ID™ All Day Lightweight Powder Foundation, offering an impressive 20-shade range tailored specifically for Filipino skin tones, a superfine, ultra-light texture perfect for tropical weather, and easy, on-the-go application. It’s complexion makeup designed to feel practical, not intimidating.

BLOCKS enters sun protection with hydrating, tone-up, and calming formulas.
UPMAKE makes its beauty debut with a 20-shade powder foundation range, built for our skin and climate.

Skincare takes a more considered route with Resuron, which approaches science-backed skincare through the lens of family and life stage. Its sets are curated around different skin needs, with options for blemish-prone skin, men’s skin, mothers, and uneven tone.

Resuron founder Marion Navarro spoke about how personal that approach is. She and her family have long dealt with hyperpigmentation and sensitive skin, experiences that shaped the line’s development. “We tested it ourselves and made sure that each ingredient, each product in the set goes well together, so you won’t have to guess which one you have to use,” she shared.

Backed by 30 years of pharmaceutical experience, Resuron curates skincare and body care by life stage—teens, moms, men, and beyond—with formulas designed to work together, not require guesswork.

Fragrance, meanwhile, gets a playful update with contemporary scent label Nuscent, whose collection pairs familiar notes in unexpected combinations. Its extrait de parfum creations—Ube Latte, Matcha Please, and Not Just Mango, to name a few—are built as much around mood and personality as they are around scent. With Nuscent joining the lineup, the gallery welcomes 14 new additions spanning fragrances for men, women, and everyone in between.

For him, for her, for everyone. There’s a Nuscent fragrance for every personality, style, and mood.

Heritage runs through Olfacto‘s three-scent debut. Founded by two brothers building a Filipino luxury perfumery rooted in culture, the collection takes its names from Ilocano values: Ayat, patient love. Kapya, grounded peace. Isem, resilient joy. Three scents that don’t just follow trends and blends that simply smell good—they carry a language that people can easily understand and relate to.

Olfacto’s debut collection speaks Ilocano before it speaks perfume: Ayat, Kapya, Isem—three concepts turned into three scents.

Kalmellow, founded by Filipina actress and singer Kristel Fulgar, takes a softer, more curated approach to fragrance. The name is a play on the words “calm” and “mellow,” reflecting the serene, easygoing sensibility behind the brand and its owner. Its scents are designed around different moods and personas—from the fresh, citrusy-green Carefree and the soft floral-woody Come Closer to the warmer, sweeter Sinfully Sweet and the clean, classic feel of Forevermore. Body lotion counterparts round out the collection—perfect for layering.

Actress-turned-founder Kristel Fulgar built Kalmellow around her own calm. Four scents, four moods, one shared DNA.

On the skin and body care front, Pina Beauty brings a distinctly purpose-led perspective, creating products that celebrate Filipina skin while tying beauty to advocacy. Its hero product, the Timeless Soap, combines bakuchiol—a plant-derived ingredient often used as a retinol alternative—with other skin-supporting actives. Watermelon extract is another recurring ingredient, chosen for its hydrating and brightening properties. It’s skincare with a point of view: rooted in the idea that beauty can be both personal and purposeful.

Meanwhile, Abu brings a more intimate approach to everyday hygiene with its Foaming Anal Wash—the Philippines’ first foaming anal wash—and opens up a conversation around intimate hygiene while leaning into the Filipino instinct for cleanliness. Its dedicated wash gives an often-taboo part of personal care an actual place in the everyday routine.

Abu takes on a conversation most brands avoid—intimate hygiene, approached without the euphemisms, as the country’s first foaming anal wash.
Pina Beauty puts Filipina skin at the center with three bar soaps for different skin concerns.

And beauty doesn’t stop at what we put on our skin or use in our daily routines. Gallery newcomer Cathy Kathy brings scent into the spaces we live in, with candles, diffusers, and room sprays designed to shape the mood and add character to everyday surroundings. It’s a different way of thinking about beauty—one that extends into the home and makes personal spaces feel distinctly your own.

Follow Your Nose

Since the gallery’s launch in 2025, fragrance has consistently proven to be one of its biggest draws. This edition expands the selection to seven names—Tadhana, GP Fragrances, Scent Studio, Anino, Olfacto, Nuscent, and Kalmellow—with everything from sweet and gourmand to fresh, floral, musky, and bold.

To make the collection easier to navigate, scents are organized by mood. Clean & Fresh gathers light, easy-to-wear blends for daytime, including Anino’s Exposure, Nuscent’s Matcha Please, and Olfacto’s Ayat. Smells Like Dessert covers gourmand favorites like Kalmellow’s Sinfully Sweet, Tadhana’s Stay, Awhile, and GP Fragrances’ Eclat Noir. For something with more depth, Bold, Deep, Different brings together head-turners like GP Fragrances’ Pistachio Knafe, Nuscent’s Old Money, and Tadhana’s Scandalous.

Scents sorted by mood: light and easy, sweet and indulgent, and bold enough to leave an impression.

No More Guesswork

With formulas, finishes, and shades multiplying by the day, choosing the right makeup can start to feel like homework. This section cuts through the noise with curated picks and quick guides designed to make shopping easier—from your base to your blush and lip color.

Base, blush, lip color—makeup formats simplified and curated for you to choose from.

Blush, Sorted brings together blushes from Ever Bilena, Clocheflame, DALA, and Careline, covering five formats with quick notes on finish and feel. The Base Lineup breaks complexion products down by coverage—from sheer to medium, medium to full, and powder—with picks from Enigma, Ever Bilena, SOLA, UPMAKE, and Hello Glow. Our Lip Lineup sorts lip formulas by finish, spotlighting Careline, Enigma, and Ever Bilena.

Across the gallery, five names—Clocheflame, DALA, BLOCKS, SOLA, and UPMAKE—take their place in the Makeup Wardrobe, an extension of the gallery’s makeup cosmetics section. Rounding it out are The Beauty Edit Team’s personal picks: the products currently earning a spot in our own rotations.

The Skin Rundown

Skincare gets crowded fast, with every line putting its own spin on the same handful of popular actives. With so many claims to sort through, it’s easy to lose sight of what your skin actually needs. The gallery simplifies things by grouping four common skin concerns with curated products and their key benefits.

Zero in on your concern and let the shelves guide you along a targeted routine.

Dry and eczema-prone skin calls for gentle cleansing, barrier support, and moisture retention. The selection features skin heroes from VMV Hypoallergenics, Habitude, CKIN, and BLOCKS.

Pigmented and uneven skin tones can significantly benefit from brightening and tone-refining essentials, with picks from SOLA, VMV Hypoallergenics, Small Steps Skin, Resuron, and BLOCKS.

Oily and acne-prone skin calls for balancing the sebum levels without disrupting the skin barrier. CKIN, Russ & Rose, Resuron, and DALA offer options for building that routine.

Lastly, sun-exposed skin needs thoughtful and hardworking everyday protection—full stop. This is especially true in the Philippines, where heat and UV exposure are a year-round concern. The selection spans different SPF formats and finishes from SOLA, BLOCKS, Hello Glow, and Beach Hut.

What’s Next

The gallery’s next chapter isn’t just about what’s new on the shelf. It’s also about what happens after the product is finished.

The event marked the soft launch of The Beauty Loop, a new initiative by The Beauty Edit in collaboration with local skincare brand Habitude and Spatio—one that gives visitors a dedicated place to dispose of their beauty empties. Habitude founder Nikki Santiago-Rivera offered guests a first look at the project, which aims to make responsible beauty disposal a little easier—and, importantly, part of the beauty conversation.

It’s a fitting next step for a space built around discovery. Three issues in, The Beauty Edit Gallery continues to evolve not just through the brands and products it brings together, but through the questions it asks, the stories it tells, and the ways it invites people to think differently about beauty.

The Beauty Edit Gallery at Spatio is located on the 3/F of Opus Mall, Bridgetowne Destination Estate, Quezon City. An editorial-led retail concept—and the first-of-its-kind in the local scene—the gallery spotlights indie innovators, cult icons, and niche trailblazers shaping F-beauty today.
