What does a sunrise smell like? For Moncler, it’s a duet of fragrances that capture the stillness before the day awakens and the beauty of nature in first light. Its newest fragrances, Moncler Sunrise Pour Homme and Sunrise Pour Femme encourage us to dream, reminisce, and imagine. Each spritz becomes a personal story, a sensory journey that unfolds uniquely for every wearer.
The beauty of these fragrances lies in their ability to evoke vivid imagery and emotions. We explored this idea through a unique experience at the latest edition of Trial & Splendor held at Bueno Tapas & Wine Restaurant in Taguig—where fragheads got to share impressions, associations, and interpretations of these two captivating scents.
A Lasting First Impression
The first encounter with a fragrance is usually a moment of revelation. Sunrise Pour Homme opens with the crisp, invigorating freshness of Italian bergamot, lemon, and pink pepper, reminding us of the morning air in the mountains. Its woody and slightly spicy notes bring about a sense of adventure, freedom, and a deep connection to nature.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Pour Femme opens with notes of violet leaves, juicy pear, and grapefruit. It balances floral and woody notes, creating a scent that is radiant and comforting, like the gentle warmth of sunshine after a cool dawn.
When asked about the emotions and imagery these scents evoked, guests shared vivid and personal interpretations. Pour Homme inspired visions of confidence and power, a sense of strength and authority. In contrast, Pour Femme made them feel sensual and soft, with its delicate floral notes bringing to mind a sense of intimacy and elegance.
Scents & Symbols: What Does Your Sunrise Look Like?
To bring these fragrances to life, we presented guests with three evocative visual cards: A majestic moment of a sunrise nestled in between two mountains; the delicate ingredients of Pour Femme—a blend of fruits and florals that resembled sunshine in bloom; and the rugged elements of Pour Homme, embodying strength and stability through its woody core.
Many guests were drawn to the ingredient cards, seeing them as more than just a collection of notes—they represented the unique personality of each fragrance. Some recognized the beauty of its ingredients, while others found meaning in how certain ingredients tied into their personal experiences and preferences.
For others, the mountain sunrise captured it all. It symbolized the beauty of nature and being outdoors, transporting them to places they’d never visited yet felt deeply familiar. It was a powerful reminder of how scents can transcend boundaries, carrying us to landscapes beyond our physical reach.
One interpretation of the sunrise card stood out: “I really feel like I’m frolicking in the mountains, I feel like this is what Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music smells like… When I look at this photo, I think it really reflects that it’s this fresh but also cool scent. It’s summery but I can smell the scents of [being] like we’re on top of the mountain.”
An Experience Beyond the Bottle
What makes Moncler Sunrise unforgettable is its ability to resonate on a deeply personal level. Besides smelling good, they feel personal. They don’t just linger on your skin, they spark something within, letting you decide the experience for yourself. These fragrances don’t dictate a story for you; they invite you to write your own. It’s a scent for the adventurers, the travelers, and those who like to pause and watch the sunrise.
