Surprises come in many forms, and for this edition of Trial & Splendor, they arrived through luxurious spritzes. On November 14, we gathered members of The Beauty Edit community for a special experience at Kas and Poly in BGC, where a unique activity was designed to test our beauty enthusiasts’ skills in decoding and recognizing scents—a true sensorial treat for every fraghead.
Each guest had the opportunity to experience three fragrances without knowing their notes or the story behind their creation. In the spirit of exploration, the try-ons were carried out through a blind trial—blotter cards were distributed one by one, and they shared their thoughts for each scent.
The first fragrance drew similar reactions from many guests: a floral yet refreshing aroma, evoking a carefree, light feeling that lingered after the initial spray. The second fragrance was described as versatile, with a playful mix of berries and warm wood notes that made it perfect for both day and night wear. The third fragrance sparked the most intense reactions, with guests agreeing that it was the most alluring and sensual of the three.
The excitement heightened when guests were challenged to guess the luxury brand behind the fragrances. It was a pleasant surprise when the majority correctly identified the fashion house—none other than Coach Fragrances.
The reveal was nothing short of thrilling, with everyone impressed by the guests’ accuracy. Coach Floral, the first fragrance that was introduced, embodies a floral essence, thanks to its bouquet of fragrant flowers—rose tea, jasmine sambac, and gardenia. Its refreshing side comes from notes of citrus coeur, pink peppercorn, and pineapple sorbet.
Next up was Coach Love, a versatile scent featuring wild strawberry, mandarin, velvet rose, cedarwood, and amber—perfect for all-day wear and can also seamlessly transition from day to night.
The final fragrance, Coach Wild Rose, has a bold-meets-delicate appeal—almost exuding a unisex allure. Its striking notes of red currant and bergamot blend harmoniously with rose, jasmine, crystal moss, and ambroxan, creating a lush and warm scent that’s easily captivating.
To add a festive touch to the afternoon, cocktails inspired by the three fragrances were served. Coach Floral was paired with a strawberry-basil concoction, Coach Wild Rose featured a vibrant mix of strawberries, cranberries, raspberry, lemon, mint, and rosemary, while Coach Love was celebrated with a classic Red Sangria.
Spritzes and spirits flowed freely as The Beauty Edit team partnered with LUXASIA for their first on-site blind Trial & Splendor experience with the community. All in all, it was a day filled with excitement, anticipation, and delightful surprises. Until next time!
