Can one ever really have too many scents? We guess not. After all, the joy it gives extends far beyond the contents of every bottle. Scents make amazing mood-benders, take us places, and uplift us in ways only the perfectly concocted ones can do. So excuse us as we indulge in our latest finds—and of course, share here why we think you might like them, too. In this edition of the Beauty Closet, you may just find your next scent du jour.
Jo Malone Paddington Bear
Jo Malone London has always excelled at crafting unique limited-edition collections. In collaboration with Paddington, the iconic bear in British culture, it has unveiled a fun and delightful new collection featuring this fresh cologne inspired by Paddington’s favorite treat, Orange Marmalade. Why? “Simply because we adore Orange Marmalade too,” shares the brand.
Fresh, zesty, herbal, and quite woody (orange peel on top; bitter orange in the middle; cashmere wood and clary sage in the base), this nice unisex citrus works well for our climate. Surprisingly, it’s not a sweet or a gourmand scent as you’d assume for its name, but we think that makes this creation easy to wear and uncomplicated. It is quintessentially British.

Jo Malone London’s Brit Collection
When Jo Malone London recently unveiled its latest Brit Collection, we were reminded of the endlessly creative ways the brand has truly captured and conveyed British culture and elements through fragrance. Each year, the Brit Collection surpasses our expectations, with Jo Malone London consistently outdoing itself and giving us something to always look forward to.
This is true for this year’s edition, inspired by unique and memorable treasures from British antique markets. It stands as our favorite among all the Brit collections it’s ever launched. Each scent tells a different story, embodying a truly British, and what feels and smells like a niche fragrance experience.
Ginger Beer is inspired by the quintessentially British beverage, with ginger, cinnamon, and roasted oak. It’s sharp before it becomes soft and warm—without being cloying.
Musk Memento is clean and comforting, with a burst of aldehydes and a hint of lavender. We immediately smell what inspired it, “happy memories of the scent of a traditional soap bar.”
Passiflora is inspired by book pages, specifically on British botany. This floral amber creation is a beautiful floral that’s quite aromatic and warm with honeysuckle and almond notes.
Finally, Emerald Thyme—our personal favorite. This green perfume inspired by an apothecary bottle is herby with thyme and rosemary and citrus with zesty lemon. Its geranium base adds a unique facet to this beautiful creation.
We highly recommend not to miss this limited edition as it only comes once a year!

Chloe Atelier des Fleurs
Chloe Atelier des Fleurs is finally here! This special line by Chloe is not just perfumery; it’s poetry. Each fragrance in this collection is an homage to the artistry of florals, meticulously crafted by master perfumers. But don’t let that fool you as even those into greens, woody, and even herbal scents, would find something to love. We love how all the scents are layerable—multilayerable at that!—and are transparent in character, while all being EDPs. We couldn’t help but pick out a few favorites, but do try them all!

Le Labo
Artisanal fragrance house Le Labo is finally available in Manila with its newly opened first boutique at Greenbelt 5. A name known to many perfume aficionados, the brand is known for perfumes with a single dominant note complemented by a unique combination of other scents, using the highest quality ingredients.
There’s only a handful in its lineup, which we appreciate because it makes finding The One easy and not overwhelming. Our The One has always been Santal 33—the only bottle we have in full size—and was a blind buy and an acquired taste for us. The rest in our collection include travel sizes of Rose 31 and Another 13.
What we feel are truly worthwhile must-buys and perhaps great entry points to the brand if you’re just starting are the bath products! Don’t sleep on the Hinoki bath products—they smell great and linger for hours on the hair and body. These have long been staples in our bathroom, so you can imagine how happy we are to be able to replenish easily now it’s here!

Narciso Rodriguez’s Musc Nude For Her and Vetiver Musc For Him
The newest from Narciso Rodriguez, the Musc Nude For Her and Vetiver Musc For Him, were our scents for the summer and we couldn’t be any more thrilled to share why we love it. Narciso Rodriguez Musc Nude is true to its name—it’s like the essence of bare skin after a warm, creamy bath, bottled. It’s got that signature musc base, with a floral note that peeks through. A little tip? You can layer this with the classic Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc. Spray it before Musc Nude to intensify the skin scent element and temper the florals. It instantly feels elegant and understated, but so present.
Vetiver Musc is a beautiful work! We love this scent. At first spray, we get greens, before woodsy vetiver hits us. It’s softened by this incredible musk that Narciso Rodriguez is famous for. It’s like walking through a lush, green forest after the rain—fresh, revitalizing, yet deeply comforting. Ladies and men like wearing this.
