We first fell in love with Creed because of Aventus For Her (perhaps the most iconic line of the heritage fragrance house), but it was Love in White that reignited our passion and deepened our connection with this remarkable brand.
Love in White was love at first sniff, impressing us with its character and intensity while retaining an ever-so-subtle trait. It’s definitely a skin scent, delicate like baby skin without being overly powdery. It opens quite luminous and zesty with orange and bergamot, before the amalgam of its heart and base notes is revealed, which rounds it out and warms it up. While it’s opaque and well-blended, you can smell its notes here and there. From the Tonkin rice that gives it quite a gourmand whiff to the delicate white florals that are prominent–iris, magnolia, and a hint of jasmine. It settles into a warm, comforting skin scent with its base of ambergris and creamy vanilla.
While its exquisite quality (and price point) might tempt you to reserve it for just special occasions, this fragrance is also very much suited for everyday use. Overall, it’s an inoffensive, soapy floral that is a winner in longevity and presence. It’s sophisticated, elegant, and true to its inspiration, which is pure love. On that note, yes, it’s an impeccable choice for a wedding day.
Creed is at Rustan’s and at The Podium.
