Routines are called routines for a reason: it’s fixed, a staple, something that we do almost mechanically, such as in our morning and evening routines. For routines to work and be effective, consistency is key, and so are application techniques, and, well, maybe with a little bit of a pep talk or a mini-meditation on the side, too.
We’ve likely built our routines around a goal. It can be as specific as building a regimen that’s focused on having clearer, moisturized, but less oily skin on one’s T-zone, for example; or it can be as simple as religiously putting on sunscreen, whether or not we’re going outdoors. Time and again, we introduce a brand new product into our rotation, for plenty of reasons: to spice things up, to target a specific concern, or… just because.

EVENING SKINCARE
We let you in our low-maintenance routine for lazy nights (yes, we have those, too!). Fewer steps mean more time for beauty rest, yes? The secret is actually in sticking to just the essentials but using super hardworking products that deliver impressive results. On weekends we… take advantage of the time to actually give our manes and tresses extra pampering. Here, we’re trying new essentials from Sephora Philippines, where we’ve discovered some of the most impressive hair and body care brands and products.
First on our list is the Joon Hair Care Sumac Scalp Scrub Exfoliating Shampoo, a minty exfoliating shampoo that we use once a week to clarify our scalp. Next is The Ordinary Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner, a fragrance-free conditioner that does the job.
We also love the Salt & Stone Santal & Vetiver Body Wash. We can’t even begin to talk about our obsession with this botanical brand, we have most of its products that work wonders, smell fantastic, and look sophisticated. We’re also trying the Kopari Marine Clean Purifying Gel Cleanser. It’s gentle but can wash off makeup.
