We’ve never tried a Make Up For Ever product that didn’t perform–which is pretty standard for this French makeup brand founded in 1984 by painter and sculptor Dany Sanz, who then worked in theater production.

True to its roots, Make Up For Ever products have always been high-performance with a reputation of being a favorite of the pros. From its iconic Ultra HD foundation to the Aqua Resist Eye Pencils, the brand has led the way for countless innovations in beauty and makeup.
The HD Skin Undetectable Longwear Foundation is perhaps the most commendable foundation launch of the year. Truly long-wearing and with a skin-like finish, this buildable foundation can be worn from day to night, as a tint or in full coverage. As longtime fans of its UltraHD foundation which it replaced, we were even more impressed by this as it’s made for the times—it won’t get in the way of mask-wearing and it’s breathable. It’s true-to-tone and will not change shade throughout its wear. Get your perfect shade and it truly is undetectable.
We love the HD Skin Makeup Sponge as well, which features a non-absorbent flat base for the initial application of product all over the face, before using the soft-touch sponge for blending.
The Rouge Artist Forever Matte Lipstick is another innovation for the times, providing a long-lasting matte that’s transfer-, water-, and mask-proof. We’d say it’s even eat-proof. What makes it special is its ultra-comfortable wear—a non-drying, non-cakey, lightweight layer you forget about because you just don’t feel it.
And finally the 24H Double Ended Lifting and Volumizing Mascara. We love how it’s bold enough to make two mascaras in one product because it’s not easy to create a formula, let alone one brush that can effectively do both. This is pretty genius. Step 1 features a slimmer wand that lifts and separates. Step 2 is the thicker wand for more volume. It’s super buildable, and customizable as you can use both separately depending on the look you want. To get doll eyes, a tip is to use Step 2 on the center lashes only after one coat of Step 1.
Make Up For Ever is on Lazada, Sephora, and at SM Mega Fashion Hall.
