A new beauty find can come out of nowhere or be something you’ve patiently waited for. Sometimes, it even happens by chance—during a trip, a random swatch, or a friend’s recommendation. But no matter how it arrives, there’s a special kind of joy in discovering a product that just works. Whether it’s a fresh launch or something that’s been around for a while, what matters most is that it’s worth the buy—or the wait.

KISSME’s Heroine Make line has long been the gold standard for mascaras that withstand sweat, tears, and humidity, and its newest launch, Lash Hype, definitely stays true to that legacy. Its Glam Lash Formula combines dramatic lift, length, and volume with a glossy film-like finish that sets quickly and resists smudging throughout the day. Its Hyperlift Brush catches lashes from the root, delivering a curl that doesn’t droop midday—a standout feature if you’re someone with naturally straight lashes.
Enriched with twelve conditioning ingredients, including argan oil, camellia oil, keratin, and shea butter, it also helps keep lashes from feeling brittle despite its waterproof and smudge-free formula.

I’ve always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with eye shadow—mostly because, as a mom always rushing out the door, I rarely have the time (or patience) for it. But the new blk cosmetics Eye Stacks made me give it another chance. These snap-together palettes are surprisingly easy to use, and the shades feel like they were made to fit into real life: easily wearable and mixable without much fuss.
There are 12 palettes in all, neatly grouped into four categories—and honestly, it feels a little like picking who you want to be for the day. The Soft Girl has those sweet pinks with just enough flush for date nights or anytime you’re feeling extra girly. The Dreamer gives soft shimmers and a bit of glow when you want something gentle and light. The Headliner is bold and glam—perfect for when you’re ready to stand out. And then there’s The Minimalist, my everyday go-to, full of easy neutrals that are far from boring. The best part? They go on smoothly, stay put, and don’t require a brush; just a swipe with your fingers and you’re done.

YSL Beauty’s makeup line has finally landed in Manila, and the brand marked the occasion in true YSL fashion: with an all-black-themed event where Manila’s most stylish beauty insiders partied the night away—the ultimate stress test for a makeup launch.
Everyone was ecstatic to rediscover their classic Loveshine Lipsticks, loved for their addictive, juicy finish, as well as the brand new Plumping Lip Oil Gloss, which delivers exactly what its name suggests sans the sticky feel. Fair warning: The plumping effect is no joke—it packs a kick!
If you’re looking to shop for a full face, YSL’s vibrant liners, mascaras, and eyeshadows are now available locally too, plus the All Hours Foundation—a formula that’s practically made for Philippine weather.

It’s hard for me to find a tinted lip balm that doesn’t dry my lips! The Romand Glasting Melting Balm is a new fave and a staple in every bag.
Part balm, part tint, it offers that high-shine, “juicy lip” look without feeling like you’ve layered on a heavy gloss. The texture glides on with a cushiony softness thanks to its formula enriched with plant oils like argan, rosehip, and evening primrose. Color payoff sits in between sheer and buildable as one swipe gives a subtle tint while two or three create a more noticeable wash that still looks effortless.

DALA Global entered the local beauty scene with well-crafted brushes that quickly caught the attention of creators—and for good reason. Many praised their quality and feel, while others couldn’t stop talking about the Better Blotter Charcoal Sheets, which have become a staple in everyday bags.
For the dew-obsessed: After seeing the brushes show up in reviews, I knew I had to try them for myself. Luckily, I had the chance to attend their recent launch event, where they introduced their mini brush collection—and their first ever foray into makeup: Dewphoria Duo Liquid Blush.
The blush comes in a trusty liquid formula that’s blendable, pigmented, and beginner-friendly. It’s dual-ended, two shades in one stick—a warm and a cool tone—both flattering on their own but versatile enough to mix.
As someone loyal to her cream and powder blushes, I was surprised at how easily this fit into my routine, specifically the shade Hush. It melts into the skin with minimal effort, and—this is important—it stayed on despite the conditions. Additionally, I prefer having my makeup in a dewy finish—a struggle to achieve in liquid formats—but Dewphoria delivered thanks to its unique oil-gel hybrid texture that gives skin a natural, radiant glow without feeling greasy.
As a sweaty Filipina dealing with humidity, oil, and midday shine, it was a relief to see the color still on my cheeks (and lids!) hours later.

At first glance, the Colorgram Pin Point Eyeshadow Palette looks like a toy calculator—but inside the Nude + Geek palette, it’s a palette that shows neutral doesn’t have to be flat. Without a hint of shimmer, it contains soft neutrals and deeper tones that blend smoothly and layer without patchiness. The payoff is buildable which makes it easy to create everything from barely-there looks to more sculpted and defined eye looks. It’s a straightforward staple, but with Colorgram’s signature playful twist—a brand that’s long been loved in Korea for making makeup both fun and functional.
Colorgram has steadily grown a cult following in Korea for its clever packaging and approachable formulas—the kind of products that make makeup feel less intimidating and more fun. Known for viral hits like the Jelly Cup tints and Milk Bling highlighters, Colorgram brings that same mix of fun and functionality to the Pin Point Palette. Each palette comes in different variants, from the peachy-warm tones of #01 Peach + Coral to the softer pinks and mauves of #02 Pink + Mauve, all the way to brighter cool shades and neutrals. That means there’s a version for just about every skin tone and mood!
I remember first spotting it in Seoul and instantly being drawn to how compact and versatile it looked—it was the kind of product you can easily slip into your bag and rely on daily. We had the chance to try the palette before its Philippine launch with Kaleia, and it’s exciting to know I don’t have to wait for another trip to Korea just to get my hands on another one.
