Bretman Rock’s Homecoming—What’s the Real Tea?

A celeb reunion, tropical escapes, and behind-the-scenes buzz? We’ve got the inside scoop on Fil-Am beauty icon Bretman Rock’s latest homecoming—plus, an exclusive statement to clear up the speculation.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

When Bretman Rock lands in the Philippines, you know it’s about to be a moment. The Filipino-American beauty icon, content creator, and all-around scene-stealer touched down in Manila on March 14, and within hours, the internet was buzzing. From a headline-making brunch with Anne Curtis to luxe island escapes to Palawan and Bohol, his homecoming had fans (and beauty insiders) asking—what’s the ”Da Baddest” up to? Here’s everything we know.

A Return That’s Anything But Quiet

Bretman Rock has always worn his Filipino roots with pride, blending his signature humor, bold style, and unfiltered presence into his global success. But this trip feels different—it’s more than just a vacation.

He kicked off his visit with a buzzed-about brunch in Bonifacio Global City, where he was spotted with actress and entrepreneur Anne Curtis (her daughter Dahlia was there, too!). But this wasn’t just any casual meet-up—Anne also happens to be the Creative Director of Filipino beauty brand blk cosmetics, sparking instant speculation. Just a friendly catch-up, or something else? The plot thickened when snaps revealed blk CEO Jacqe Gutierrez and director Patrick Martin—who’s been behind blk’s past campaigns— also in the room.

Beach Days (and More) in Palawan

Days after his Manila stop, Bretman jetted off to El Nido, Palawan, soaking up the kind of sun-kissed glow only the Philippines can deliver. “You know it’s the Philippines… just by the lighting,” he teased in an Instagram post, serving up dreamy glimpses of boat rides, crystal-clear waters, and bronzed skin goodness.

But while his trip looked like the ultimate tropical escape, the clues were impossible to miss: the blk team was also in Palawan, Bretman was sharing blk merch on his stories, and—coincidence?—he was wearing blk, too. In one clip, he jokingly responded to followers asking about his “face deodorant,” clarifying it was actually the blk cosmetics Sunscreen Primer Stick.

“Da Baddest” in Bohol

After a few days, Bretman touched down in Bohol—just in time to cross paths with beauty influencer Marj Maroket, who tied the knot on the island on March 22. But this leg of his trip seemed to be all about real R&R with his boyfriend, Justice Fester.

On TikTok, Bretman shared snippets of their getaway—soaking in the breathtaking views of the Chocolate Hills, dancing Tinikling, and indulging in local fruits (Philippine mangoes included!). In true Bretman fashion, he even posted a video of himself getting glammed up on cam while Justice casually climbed a coconut tree in the background.

“Yes, there’s something in the works. Bretman is very intentional about his partnerships. For him, every collaboration needs a story. He’s very selective about who he aligns his brand with—it has to make sense. We can’t wait to reveal the rest of the story soon.”

She added, “We’re incredibly honored to be the first Filipino beauty brand he’s said yes to.”

Consider us officially intrigued! Stay tuned—this collab is shaping up to be something truly exciting, and we’ll be watching closely for what’s next.
