The way she reels us into what she has to say for the day—a makeup technique unlocked, a new product discovery, or random beauty updates—is a charm on its own. She has a way of making beauty content fun and exciting, a world we’d love to know more about. What does the proverbial office of a professional beauty content creator look like? One can only imagine what it feels like to get a closer look behind the scenes!
The Beauty Edit had the privilege of exploring her beauty room and vanity, a haven filled with skincare, makeup, haircare products, and beauty tools. And if you ask us, what truly left us awe-inspired (second to her massive collection, of course), is how neatly and intentionally organized everything is.
From custom-made drawers lined with her favorite makeup must-haves to rotating racks for every type of skincare, Javier’s storage solutions are as aesthetically pleasing as they are practical. She has created a beauty space where every product has its place, allowing her to move around easily and focus on the great task at hand: get her beauty look down pat.
Here, we take you through Kai Javier’s covetable closet and share her tips, tricks, and top picks for a picture-perfect vanity.
Put things back to where they belong.
Yup, we were told this as kids. Who knew it’d be sage advice for organizing our beauty stash? Take cues from Javier’s beauty storage system which works with the same principle.
To achieve such an organized and efficient beauty closet, start by designating a specific place for each type of item. And after using a product, always return it to its designated spot so you can easily find it again.
Devise a system that suits you.
For Javier, the way her beauty closet is organized is also a reflection of her daily routine. “I want the ones I reach out for the most right in front of me. [The goal] is to make them super accessible to me,” she says.
For a more streamlined routine like hers, prioritize accessibility by organizing your most-used products in a way that puts them right at your fingertips. This means keeping your everyday essentials—such as foundations, lipsticks, and powders—within easy reach.
Use tiered organizers to keep these products front and center. Dedicate the nearest tier to products you use the most, such as your daily essentials. Then, use the other tiers for less frequently used items. This technique can simplify your beauty routine and keep your collection neatly organized at the same time.
Categorize, then organize.
Javier also takes a thoughtful approach to organizing her beauty collection by texture and finish. Her system sorts products into categories like creams, powders, and liquids; and finishes such as matte or glossy. This method ensures that each product is easy to find based on its formulation and desired effect.
Her blushes are grouped by texture, while lip products are arranged according to their formula and format, such as lipsticks, glosses, oils, or tinted balms. Through the use of clear trays and drawer organizers, Javier creates a visually appealing and functional layout that makes it simple to select the right product for any look or need.
“I know where [the products] are according to how packaging is designed,” says Javier. “The way I organize these are from lightweight to heavier ones. Gel and cream type, then here are [the ones for the night], the thicker ones,” she adds, going through her skincare collection.
Beyond texture or formula, at times, Javier puts a product front and center just because. “I displayed it because it’s La Mer,” she confesses with a laugh. And to be honest, who wouldn’t?

Store vertically to save space.
Another way to make the most of your beauty closet space is by using vertical space effectively. Use layered shelves or organizers, cosmetic carousels or tall drawers to maximize storage and keep your beauty essentials organized. This way, you can fit more products without cluttering up your space. It’s a simple trick that makes it easy to find what you need while keeping your closet looking tidy and well-kept.
Multi-layered trolleys are also a great way to maximize storage in a small space. Use each layer of the trolley for different categories of beauty products. Keep everyday essentials on the top layer for easy access, like your daily skincare and makeup items. Reserve the middle layer for secondary items like masks, serums, and treatment products you use less frequently. Use the bottom layer for bulkier items or backups, like extra bottles of shampoo, body lotion, or hair tools.
Javier makes the most of her layered trolley by organizing her haircare products in a practical yet still stylish way. She places her styling tools on the top layer for quick access. The bottom layers are dedicated to her treatments, essences, and masks.
Another option is to use rotating holders for a dynamic storage solution. This rotating design allows you to easily spin through your collection and reach everything without having to dig through drawers or cluttered shelves. Javier arranges her lipsticks in these rotating holders by brand and by finish to make it easier for her to find the perfect hue. “You can just spin them if you’re lazy!” she says.
Invest in a fridge.
A skincare fridge is a great way to keep your products fresh and effective. You can get the most out of your fridge by placing items in order of use. Taking notes from Javier, it’s best to place what’s on your current rotation—like moisturizers and night creams—at the top for easy access, while storing less frequently used items towards the bottom. This way, your products are always at the right temperature and within reach. Plus, keeping them chilled can give a refreshing and cooling sensation when applied to your face.
Source creative storage spaces.
Acrylic organizers are a popular choice for organizing your fragrance collection because of their transparency, which allows you to easily view and select your perfumes while being easy to clean. Using acrylic organizers such as those pictured above also lets you position each bottle upright to protect your perfumes from spills or breakage.
There’s a storage solution for everything! Javier’s clever storage tip for keeping false eyelashes in perfect shape? Use cable organizers These segmented boxes have individual compartments that are ideal for neatly storing and separating lashes, preventing them from getting tangled or damaged.
“When you have lashes and there are only three pairs in one pack, if you stack them all together, it [becomes] bulky,” she shares. “I have so much because I don’t always reuse. This container alone has over a hundred pairs of lashes already. This is great if you want to save space,” Javier adds.
Add a personal touch.
While the purpose of organizing and decluttering is seamlessness in one’s routine, it’s always nice to add a touch of personality to your space. Consider repurposing a portion of your beauty closet into a dedicated space for beauty memorabilia, from cherished empty bottles and limited edition packaging, for example.
For Javier, it’s about preserving pieces that hold sentimental value. “[On the] topmost shelf, [it’s all] memorabilia. Some of my favorite souvenirs from events—some bedazzled lippies, some engraved lippies—I don’t use them. I display them. [It’s a] collector’s item for me,” Javier said. “Also, the PR packages that are super pretty, I display.”
It can be a nostalgic corner where you can relive your beauty milestones and even find inspiration for future looks.
