Managing acne-prone, sensitive skin can feel like walking a tightrope. One day, your skin needs calming; the next, it’s calling for a deep cleanse. Treating both concerns at once? Easier said than done. Some products are too harsh—stripping your skin—or too mild to make a difference, making the journey all the more frustrating.
Finding balance often means trial and error—with little relief. Products tend to target either breakouts or sensitivity, rarely both. And when they do, they often trigger irritation or fall short. What’s needed is a routine that does it all: gentle enough to soothe, strong enough to clear.
For this edition of Trial & Splendor, we put Korean skincare brand Deoproce’s Acne Clear Line to the test. The question: Can one routine really do it all—clear blemishes and calm irritation?
The Routine: 6 Steps to Clear, Calm Skin
Deoproce’s Acne Clear Line is a six-step regimen designed with acne-prone, sensitive skin in mind, with each step thoughtfully designed to strike the perfect balance between effectivity and comfort. Here’s a quick look at the full routine:
The Skin Preparation
- Step 1: The Acne Clear Solid Bar—a compact, gentle cleanser that exfoliates and helps clear blocked pores, which is perfect as a first cleanse.
- Step 2: The Acne Clear Gel Cleanser—a lightweight gel-to-foam wash that deeply purifies without overdrying the skin or stripping it.
- Step 3: The Acne Clear Toner—a watery formula that helps remove residual oils, tighten pores, and refresh the skin without any harsh alcohol. It also helps prep the skin for the next steps.
The Treatment Phase
- Step 4: The Acne Clear Serum—a light yet concentrated formula designed to target active breakouts and calm irritation. It also improves the skin’s texture and tone.
- Step 5: The Acne Spot Treatment—a quick-drying gel used to target individual blemishes for immediate care by minimizing irritation.
- Step 6: The Acne Clear Moisturizer—a weightless gel-cream formula that calms inflammation, reinforces the skin barrier, and keeps the skin moisturized without clogging pores.
What’s Inside: The Ingredients That Do the Work
What makes this line suitable for sensitive skin while still being acne-fighting? It’s all about the formulation. Deoproce taps into Korea’s skincare innovation with three star ingredients that work in harmony to treat breakouts gently yet effectively.
First up, the Anti-Sebum P: This patented ingredient controls oil, minimizes the look of enlarged pores, and helps refine texture. Its balanced presence (10,000 ppm) ensures active results without being too aggressive for delicate skin.
Quick skincare lesson: ppm stands for “parts per million”—a standard unit in skincare that reflects ingredient concentration. In skincare jargon, 10,000 ppm refers to 10,000 milligrams or 1 percent of an ingredient per liter of product. The ppm is a common way to indicate that a key ingredient is present in a significant, active amount while still being gentle enough for daily use.
The second key ingredient is the 5-Root Care. A plant-based complex rooted in traditional Korean herbal medicine, it features five botanical extracts, each known for their calming, antioxidant, and barrier-supporting properties. These roots, often used in holistic skin remedies, work together to reduce visible redness and soothe irritated skin. It promises to protect and strengthen the skin barrier over time.
The last (but equally important) component is salicylic acid. The Acne Clear Line features a gentle 0.5 percent concentration, making it one of the most effective, dermatologist-approved ingredients for treating and preventing breakouts. As a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), salicylic acid penetrates deep into the pores to dissolve excess oil and remove dead skin cells. This is key, as congestion beneath the surface often leads to stubborn breakouts that surface-level products can’t fully address. Its low concentration allows for consistent, non-irritating exfoliation—making it especially suitable for sensitive skin types that need pore-clearing power without the risk of over-drying or barrier damage.
The Test: Two Weeks, Real Reviews
To find out if Deoproce’s Acne Clear Line lives up to its promise, we tapped members of The Beauty Edit community—many of whom were dealing with breakouts and sensitivity—and asked them to swap their current routines for two weeks, track any changes, and share their unfiltered experiences: breakouts, breakthroughs, and all.
The goal? To see if it could truly calm inflammation, clear breakouts, and support sensitive skin.
At the start of the 14-day trial, most of them reported already dealing with issues such as redness, texture, oiliness, and breakouts. One of the participants, Nicole Quindara, for instance, described her skin as noticeably red and bumpy. Mei Pascual, meanwhile, shared that she frequently experienced oiliness in her T-zone, a common issue for many.
By day seven, a pattern emerged. Most users reported smoother texture, reduced oiliness, and fewer breakouts—though not completely gone. Some noted that bumps had started to calm down, and skin tone appeared more even, with a soft, healthy glow beginning to show.
As for the experience of using the products, Dani Ragudo shared, “When I first applied the products, there was no stinging or burning sensation, so I do think it’s true that it’s okay for sensitive skin.” Faith Lagaday echoed this and pointed out how the Acne Gel Cleanser delivered on its promise to cleanse deeply without stripping skin dry.

At the two-week mark, feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants said their skin felt smoother and brighter, with noticeable improvements in overall skin condition. The redness had visibly decreased, and the skin appeared more balanced.
Mary Elizabeth Parcon compared her results week by week, observing that her skin felt less irritated and that active breakouts had subsided. Carina Therese Palad shared the same sentiments, adding that oiliness in her T-zone had also improved. She did note, however, that she expects to see even better results with continued use—and beyond the initial two weeks.

A Clear Ending
After two weeks, it’s safe to say: Deoproce’s Acne Clear Line delivered on its promise. It gave our Trial & Splendor participants clearer, calmer, and more balanced skin—without the harsh side effects often associated with acne treatments.
If you’ve been torn between treating breakouts and caring for sensitive skin, this routine might just be what you need. Gentle, effective, and thoughtfully formulated, it proves you can have both clarity and comfort—without compromise.
