Beauty In The City: A Local’s Guide to Living Beautifully

The places, rituals, and beauty finds that make city living worth savoring, all packed into The Beauty Edit Box™ Vol. 21.
Reading Time: 6 minutes

Living in the city excites us for a hundred small reasons. It’s the new café that opened down the street, the regulars you now recognize at your go-to speakeasy, or the brunch spot you and your friends show up to without fail at least once a week.

It can be busy, but once you find your own rhythm, the city starts to feel like home. That’s the idea behind The Beauty Edit Box™ Vol. 21: Beauty in the City—a collection of products, treats, and discoveries chosen for the different ways we move through the city, from market mornings and long lunches to weekend resets, nights in, and those spontaneous side quests.

Here’s what’s inside our latest box, available at The Beauty Edit Gallery at Spatio starting October 10, 2026.

Market Day Loop

A morning at the market calls for fresh flowers, good food, and a scent that makes the whole trip a little more fun. For this stop, local fragrance house Nuscent takes the lead with a lineup that moves from fresh and green to sweet, floral, and bold. (Each box comes with one 2ml Nuscent bottle.)

The fresh lineup starts with Matcha Please—whisked, not stirred. Grassy and green up top because of the matcha, then it settles into something bright and creamy thanks to the lemon zest and fig milk, with white tea and cherry blossom rounding it out. For the cold brew cravers, there’s Crave Me. Bergamot and ginger hit first and hard, then lavender and sage take over.

For a little romance, the flirty picks come in. Perfect Date opens with champagne fizz over red berries and lychee, settling into a bouquet of soft florals. Not Just Mango brings ripe mango up front, with guava and coconut trailing behind for a sweet impression. Tipsy Berry is raspberry with a little mischief in it; white chocolate and cacao turn a juice stand into a dessert cart. And Naked Desire starts with jasmine and bergamot, closes with moss and musk—lingering on your wrist longer than the walk home.

Then come the bold blends. Ube Latte brings toasted hazelnut and bourbon vanilla, warmed through with cinnamon and cardamom—sweet dessert-shop deep. Old Money fades fast on its citrus top, leaving amber, sandalwood, and cashmeran behind—the kind of scent you notice on someone else before you place it. Naughty Mocha is coffee and caramel, but make it dirty; custard rounds it out, musk keeps it from tipping into dessert. And Hot AF starts polite with orange blossom and jasmine, then patchouli and musk take it somewhere warmer than intended.

The Long Lunch

What makes a good meal in the city? A hearty pasta. Burrata and torn bread. Wine that keeps getting refilled. Lipstick that survives all of it. And sunblock, for whenever lunch spills outdoors.

M.A.Cximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy is the lip pick—a matte shade that works just as well for the first photo as it does for the last bite. There’s also a Chef’s bonus in the box: complimentary shade matching plus a 7-day foundation sample.

For complexion, UPMAKE Tone ID All Day Lightweight Powder Foundation offers a lightweight pressed-powder option designed to hold. Pressed on before you leave the house, forgotten about by the time the check comes—it gives a skin finish that survives humidity, natural light, and however long the lunch runs.

And before heading anywhere al fresco, there’s BLOCKS Sunscreen, with three options available (each box has a surprise pick): Cool Down Hydro Light, Tone Up Peach Priming, or Red Calming Essence.

Weekend Recovery

The weekend is your cue to reset, your way. Nourish yourself with something good, refresh your space with a little fragrance, and settle into rituals that make staying in feel just as rewarding as going out.

SecondSpring’s Premium Women’s Blend leads the take-it-easy picks—a perimenopause-friendly protein and collagen blend with 25g of protein, plus essential vitamins and minerals, in each sachet. The easiest way in: a weekend smoothie. Blend one sachet with half a ripe avocado, a cup of oat milk, ice, and honey to taste, until smooth and creamy.

Alongside it, Baressentials Manila’s Room & Linen Spray refreshes your space and sets the mood for a slower weekend. Spritz it over your sheets, your fabrics, or just around the room whenever your surroundings need a lift.

Night In, On Purpose

When the day is finally done, the city can wait. This edition has everything you need to turn a regular night at home into a proper wind-down ritual.

Start with Jo Malone London Poppy & Barley Body & Hand Wash—naturally derived glycerine and meadowfoam seed oil lather into a rich, velvety foam, carrying a lively floral scent of poppy, rose, violet, and blackcurrant. Follow it with Jo Malone London Peony & Blush Suede, in two textures: the rich Body Crème for an indulgent layer, or the lighter Body & Hand Lotion. Both carry the scent’s signature blend of juicy red apple, lush peony, and soft suede. Round it out with a complimentary pampering ritual that leaves hands and arms cared for and delicately fragranced: each box features a Jo Malone London Hand & Arm Service Voucher.

For skin, Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum closes the night. The iconic peptide-powered formula supports skin’s natural renewal, with hyaluronic acid to hydrate, smooth, and revive the look of tired skin by morning. Extend the ritual with the Estée Lauder Voucher: 10% off favorites when you spend a minimum of ₱10,000.

Side Quests Unlocked

Because city life isn’t just about routines. Sometimes it’s a spontaneous mahjong game, a late-night jazz set, a secret spot someone told you about, or an afternoon spent entirely on your own.

The Beauty Edit Box Vol. 21 comes with one mini Maison Margiela fragrance. We’ve given each scent a fictional city-life side quest to match its mood:

Maison Margiela On a Date brings together blackcurrant, rose, and pink pepper. We imagine it for a Blind Date Roulette: sign up, get matched, show up, and hope you never run out of things to talk about.

Lazy Sunday Morning pairs pear, lily of the valley, and clean musk. For our Do-Nothing Sunday Club, this feels just right: no plans, nowhere to be, and sheets you’re not making up anytime soon.

Jazz Club leads with pink pepper and rum, followed by tobacco leaf and vanilla. We’d save this one for a Secret Set: no sign, no line, just word of mouth and a band that might be playing past midnight.

Afternoon Delight blends vanilla, warm sandalwood, and a fresh-baked madeleine note. It calls for a Table for One: no plus-one required, just a book, your phone left alone, and an afternoon all to yourself.

And for a little extra: the Maison Margiela Voucher makes a Counter Call an easy five-minute detour that turns into more than you planned. Enjoy 5% off, a complimentary discovery session, and your choice of a 15ml bath & body item or 7ml EDT as a GWP with a minimum spend of ₱7,000.
