Our first box of the year reminds us of what beauty has long meant to us—fun, enjoyable, meant to make everyone it touches feel good. Welcome to The Beauty Edit Box Vol. 19 | The Beauty Playhouse.
If there is one space I could spend an entire day (or week) in and completely enjoy it, it’s my home office—my very own beauty playhouse. A room of my own with a lit vanity desk, neatly arranged shelves of products waiting to be tried and photographed, stacks of beauty books, a couch for quiet breaks, walls lined with artworks I love. It is where ideas are born, stories are shaped, and where, in between everything else, I get to simply enjoy beauty.
In a life that moves quickly—between meetings, shoots, decisions, motherhood, and travel—I’ve come to realize how important it is to have a space that feels like a reset. For our team, that feeling often comes in little getaways. There’s something about a hotel check-in that feels symbolic. The crisp sheets. The indulgent bath. The anonymity of a room designed purely for comfort.
At its best, beauty can feel the same way.
A pick me up. A pause. A weekend in the middle of a busy week.
We imagined The Beauty Playhouse as a hotel you can check into anytime you need it. Each category becomes its own “room”—a space to step into and experience. Skincare as your spa suite. Fragrance as the lobby that leaves a lasting impression. Makeup as the vanity room where you try on different versions of yourself. Haircare as the finishing touch before you step back into the world.
I think every woman deserves a sanctuary. Sometimes it’s a physical room. Sometimes it’s 30 quiet minutes at the end of the day. Sometimes it’s a box that arrives at your door and reminds you that taking care of yourself is as indulgent as it’s necessary.
This little box is our invitation to check in. Close the door. Move from room to room. Stay as long as you need. No checkout time required.
With love,
Nicole
