In this edition of The Editor’s Room, Anessa made a splash with the launch of its latest sun protection innovations, showcasing its new and improved sunscreen line across different locations in Metro Manila.
Kicking off at the bustling Mall of Asia and hosted by The Beauty Edit contributing editor Firas Abboud, the event offered a fun and informative introduction to Anessa’s sunscreens. Anessa Brand Manager Dani de Leon and Marketing Executive Patchy Pangilinan talked us through the brand’s journey to becoming the top Japanese sunscreen brand for several years, along with the science behind its sun protection and the unique features of the new line. Guests were also treated to interactive displays where they were able to put the sunscreen to the test and discover the technology behind each product.
Reformulated and repackaged, the Gold Series is for long days under the sun, for sports, and for everyday use. This includes the powerful and water-resistant UV milk, the UV gel for moisturizing the skin, and the UV spray which can also be used on the hair. The hardworking Day Serum not only protects the skin but turns the sun’s rays into beauty beams to nourish it.
Then there’s the Brightening Gel that enhances the complexion and the Mild Series for those with sensitive skin. The mild milk and gel variants can also be used by kids and babies. Last but not least is the Night Care Sun Serum, coming soon, which helps repair skin overnight after a day of sun exposure.
Following the first leg, the Anessa beach house experience moved to an intimate gathering at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall. Here, guests enjoyed in-depth discussions about sun safety and skincare routines. It gave guests the perfect space to ask questions and receive personalized recommendations from Anessa experts. Guests also got a valuable opportunity to learn about sun damage and how to choose the right sunscreen for their needs.
But the beach house experience wasn’t done there. For the active crowd, a fitness-themed session took place at the Alabang Town Center, hosted by The Beauty Edit guest editor Bianca Alexcis. Here, guests got to put Anessa’s sweatproof claims to the test with a fun-filled HIIT workout led by Coach Viella Cui of F45 Training. The experience gave guests the chance to see firsthand how the sunscreen held their ground while they were working up a good sweat, showing how its sun protection remained uninterrupted throughout the energetic activities.
Finally, the last leg took place outdoors at Central Square in the vibrant BGC district where Anessa was put to the ultimate test—actual sunshine! Hosted by The Beauty Edit contributing editor Justin Convento, guests enjoyed a day of fun under the sun where they could experience the sunscreens’ effectiveness firsthand. They were able to get their hands on the products themselves and got a unique opportunity to witness how their lightweight texture and impressive protection perform under the summer sun. Plus, there were fun activities that ensured everyone enjoyed themselves while their skin was shielded from the sun’s rays thanks to Anessa’s advanced formulas.
