In this edition of The Editor’s Room, beauty enthusiasts gathered at the LOOK Studio in SM Aura Premier, Taguig for an exclusive event featuring the iconic makeup brand Huda Beauty. Moderated by The Beauty Edit guest contributor Pat Cortez, the workshop was an immersive session of learning and makeup exploration.
The event opened with an introduction to the brand by Huda Beauty Philippines brand manager Christine Felix and senior product executive Iryna Llamas. They gave us an overview of how renowned beauty blogger and makeup artist Huda Kattan started the brand with a passion for beauty and a desire to make high-quality makeup accessible to everyone.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of Huda Beauty’s new peach and pink color correctors, the Easy Bake Loose Powder in Peach Pie, the Easy Bake Pressed Powder in Peach Pie, and the #FauxFilter Color Corrector in Cherry Blossom. We learned about how peach and pink color correctors can address specific skin concerns: The peach corrector is perfect for neutralizing dark circles and pigmentation, whereas the pink corrector is ideal for brightening the under-eye area and giving a fresh, awakened look. Everyone was thrilled to get a first look at these new additions to the Huda Beauty collection and eager to see firsthand how these correctors could enhance their makeup routines.
Adding to the excitement, the event featured an exclusive masterclass led by celebrity makeup artist Jorence De Limos. He demonstrated how to effectively integrate the new color correctors into the way we put on and apply our makeup. From creating a lifted effect to achieving a snatched look, his expert tips and tricks had us all taking notes.
Throughout the masterclass, De Limos emphasized the importance of choosing the right corrector shade for one’s skin tone and demonstrated how to blend the products seamlessly for a natural finish. He also shared tips on layering the correctors with foundation and concealer to create a smooth, even canvas.
In addition to the hands-on tutorial, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized advice from De Limos which made the experience both educational and interactive. The masterclass was a great way for them to enhance their skills and learn directly from a professional. Cortez also shared her own personal tips, having been a makeup enthusiast for years and one who has played with and tried countless makeup products and application techniques herself.
Beyond the masterclass, attendees got to mingle with their fellow beauty enthusiasts, share their makeup tips with each other, and experiment with the new correctors firsthand. It was an afternoon filled with beauty inspiration, valuable knowledge, and the chance to connect with a passionate beauty community. We can’t wait for the next one!
