Welcome to The Editor’s Room featuring Laura Mercier, a makeup brand we’ve long loved and admired. Many of us have probably gotten to know Laura Mercier through its essential base products, which were key to creating what the brand earlier called the iconic “Flawless Face,” from the Real Weightless Foundation to the Translucent Loose Setting Powder.
But what really makes a long-standing beauty brand worth following to this day is the genius it does to stay relevant: constantly innovating, surpassing its own holy grails and icons, and all while staying true to its core and what it stands for. In this edition of The Editor’s Room, aptly called Canvas & Color, it’s a celebration of all these. We introduce the latest in Laura Mercier’s lineup of color cosmetics: the Caviar Eye Shadow Sticks, the Tinted Moisturizer Blush, and the High Vibe Lip Color, alongside its cult-favorite complexion products.
Held at the penthouse of Ascott Makati, the doors of Suite Mercier were opened to our beauty journalists, beauty creators, and members of The Editor’s Room. Laura Mercier brand manager Christine Felix took the lead in re-introducing the brand with The Beauty Edit. And together with globally-certified resident trainer Drew Curata, they talked extensively about the products, from why we love them to how to best apply them. Our guest expert, color analyst and image pro Ingrid Nieto-Pagulayan, had tips to share on making color work for and bring out one’s most beautiful self.
In the rooms, guests were treated to portrait sessions with MEETKESO, color consultation with Ingrid to find out which Laura Mercier shades they match best with, and a room to build their full-face Laura Mercier cosmetic kits with. It was an immersive experience we all enjoyed.
It’s always a thrill to work with brilliant minds and teams: Luxasia Philippines and Christine Felix with Drew Curata, Ingrid Nieto-Pagulayan, Beyond Bold, The Ascott Limited and Mesclun teams, MEETKESO, Pau Guevarra, and Dexter De Guia. Grateful most especially to our guests, members of The Editor’s Room. ‘Til the next edition!
