It’s a common misconception that hair fall and thinning are concerns primarily for men or those well past middle age. Thinking this way is like believing that brushing your hair 100 times will give you beautiful locks! The reality is that hair loss affects women and younger individuals just as much.
In the recent edition of The Editor’s Room with hair and scalp care expert, Svenson, we learned that as early as we turn 18 years old, we begin to lose hair, which progresses as we age. Dr. Young Seob Lee, one of the leading experts in exosomes used in hair regrowth, was direct when he said this harsh truth: “Everyone in this room, including myself, are already late [in treating our hair and scalp to prevent hair loss].”
Mike Lee, CEO of Primacure, the global producer of exosomes, also revealed that in the Philippines, thinning hair and falling hair are as much of a problem among women as it is with men. Hair and scalp concerns can also occur even among young people, including college students, for example. Common causes of hair loss, according to Svenson Certified Trichologist Ms. Shai Aya-Ay, are genetics, stress, diet, and lifestyle. Certain medical conditions in some individuals also play a part.
But the good news is what we were all here for: Svenson introduces NexoHair, the latest advancement in hair regrowth. It’s non-invasive and works quickly, and many have attested to its effective results. NexoHair is exosome-based and can result in hair growth in as fast as two to three months. What it does is revive dormant hair follicles and start the growth of new ones. The best part is that it’s suitable for practically anyone (only pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised against it, in the meantime) and requires no downtime.
Before a NexoHair treatment, most clients undergo a few sessions of the Scalp Corrective Treatment first, to ensure the best results and effects from NexoHair.
Members from our community, Ms. Dinna Vasquez, Chynna Lim, and The Beauty Edit’s Patti Sunio have also shared their experiences trying NexoHair. They’ve attested to its pain-free process (“It feels like a massage!”) and how it’s not only helped in hair regrowth, it’s also improved the condition of their scalp, lessening bumps, dryness, and flakiness.
Of course, all these treatments would go to waste without proper hair and scalp care. Dr. Lee shared that while it’s okay to shampoo often, given our humid weather, it’s best to refrain from using or buying products from questionable or non-reputable brands. He also recommends putting on sunscreen and serum on our scalp. As trichologist Aya-ay reiterates, “We should care for our scalp in the same way we do to our face.”
Last but not least, we were also honored to have Ms. Jackie Siy-Share, Svenson COO, grace the event with her presence. After the talks, guests were able to go around to check out the hair products of Svenson as well as have a scalp analysis, as well as customize their mini travel bath kits with their names and fun stickers.
The promise of progressive hair and scalp care definitely looks bright with NexoHair and the other up-to-date treatments available at Svenson. There’s always something new to learn about hair and scalp care and we look forward to the next event.
