In this edition of The Editor’s Room featuring Moncler, guests explored the vast mountain summits while being introduced to a fragrance collection that captured the essence of snow-covered peaks and the intense beauty of rugged heights.
Heritage and luxury converge in Les Sommets by Moncler, where the brand seamlessly fuses its signature codes with craftsmanship and design. The collection features six scents: Les Bois Glacé, Haute Montagne, Le Solstice, La Cordée, and the latest release, Ciel d’Hiver. All of these were a tribute to Moncler’s adventurous mountain spirit, exuding a bold yet refined allure that resonates with both men and women, offering a modern sense of timelessness.
Fragrance lovers gathered at Bolero on High Street South in Bonifacio Global City for an intimate experience that sparked curiosity from the start. Before the program began, guests explored the scents in a unique, secretive manner—using postcards with thought-provoking questions related to each fragrance. This allowed them to uncover the notes without knowing which blend they were experiencing, making the discovery both intriguing and personal.
During the program, the mystery was unveiled as Luxasia Philippines’ Senior Training Manager and Fragrance Specialist, Tin Conde, guided guests through the wood-infused collection.
The discovery began with Le Bois Glacé—also known as Ice Wood—a spicy composition infused with vetiver. For a more understated option, the Haute Montagne (High Mountain) would be the ideal choice since it offers a smooth blend with hints of vanilla. Les Roche Noire, or Black Rocks, brings a sensual depth through its patchouli notes, perfectly embodying its namesake. Le Solstice stands out in the collection with a more sparkling allure with its use of iris accords. Meanwhile, La Cordée—or The Climbing Rose—adds an invigorating take on wood enhanced by the refreshing notes of black tea.
The fragrance line introduces its newest addition, Ciel d’Hiver, a striking neroli-infused scent. The musky, woody fragrance embodies the essence of Moncler, beginning with a vibrant, invigorating kick that gradually gives way to a warmer, more comforting essence after the initial spritz.
Les Sommets by Moncler truly taps into the brand’s essence, which is especially reflected in the design of the bottle. Standing apart from the other fragrances, its transparent amber bottle and off-white calligraphy evoke the elegant apothecary designs of early modern Europe. To fully embrace Moncler’s fashion heritage, the names and descriptions are written in French, reinforcing the brand’s deep-rooted French identity.
The gathering was nothing short of a true olfactory journey, offering a diverse range of fragrances, all centered around rich, woody notes. Guests embarked on an aromatic exploration of the alpine landscape—starting with a fresh, invigorating opening and concluding with refined, spicy undertones. It was an invitation to embrace Moncler’s adventurous spirit, experiencing the heights of the collection with every scent.
