At a glance, Fiamma looks every bit Ferragamo: gold, sculptural, polished. But beneath that refined surface is a fragrance that reveals a shift. Fiamma is new—and intentionally so. Unveiled at the latest edition of The Editor’s Room, Fiamma breaks away from the brand’s familiar fragrance families. It isn’t a reinvention of Signorina or Amo. Rather than building on the familiar foundations of those beloved collections, it stands as a distinct and independent creation.
A Fresh Direction for Ferragamo Fragrance
The name itself—Italian for “flame”—speaks to its intention: to ignite something bold and modern. It’s also a tribute to Fiamma Ferragamo, the late daughter of Salvatore Ferragamo, who played a key role in shaping the house’s design legacy. Created in collaboration with principal perfumer Clement Gavarry of DSM-firmenich, Fiamma is also Ferragamo’s first women’s fragrance under creative director Maximilian Davis.
“It symbolizes the flame that inspires and enlightens women as they embrace and express their best selves,” shared Tin Conde, Senior Training Manager of Luxasia Philippines.
Though it’s technically classified as a woody floral, the execution is more nuanced. It opens with the juicy sweetness of white pear, layered with nectarine, cherry, ambrette, saffron and calendula. At its heart is gardenia, rendered in a creamy, slightly green interpretation. The dry down is smooth and sensual with notes of ambrox, patchouli, and musk that evoke balance and warmth. It’s contemporary and composed with just enough heat to keep it memorable.
The fragrance’s strength also lies in this deliberate duality—a push and pull between fresh and warm, soft and assertive. This duality mirrors the modern woman Fiamma is designed for: someone who embodies confidence and strength with sensuality.
The scent draws inspiration from Ferragamo’s Florentine roots and heritage craftsmanship but its execution is crisp and current—a reflection of Davis’s evolving vision for the house. It stays grounded in the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship while taking a more refined and modern approach. And while many fragrance houses build longevity through expanding their collections, Fiamma makes its debut with a clear sense of individuality. With its own look and scent profile, Ferragamo introduces a fresh approach to fragrance design and storytelling.
Beyond its scent profile, Fiamma also represents Ferragamo’s commitment to sustainability. Over 80 percent of the fragrance’s ingredients are biodegradable, and its full-sized bottle is fully refillable, reducing waste without compromising the luxurious experience.
An Experience Meant to Ignite
As part of the experience, guests were given cards shaped like the Fiamma bottle with the question: “What are you burning for?” This invited them to reflect, write, and place their answers on the Wall of Desires—a visual installation that gradually filled with handwritten messages throughout the event. Simple as it seemed, the wall became a striking expression of Fiamma’s core inspiration: passion, purpose, and individuality.
The experience continued with a Fiamma-inspired Italian lunch, curated around notes found in the fragrance. Guests also had the chance to personalize their bottles with custom engraving, capping off the event with something they could truly make their own.
