Last summer couldn’t have been a better time to launch Tsubaki in the Philippines. In this edition of The Editor’s Room featuring Tsubaki, over afternoon tea at Hotel Okura, the perfect venue that marries Japan’s tradition-meets-modern sensibilities and attention to fine detail, we shared with our guests the very reasons why we ourselves have become instant converts of the brand.
Tsubaki has been a leading and trusted premium haircare brand from Japan for over 17 years. We learned more about its core ingredient, the camellia oil from the camellia flower, which has been used in Japanese haircare for over a century (the name ‘Tsubaki’ translates to ‘camellia flower’); the innovative technology behind it, such as its damage sensor function that targets where hair needs intensive repair the most; and, perhaps everyone’s favorite, the zero wait time feature for the conditioner and the hair mask—yes, you can literally lather on and rinse the product off immediately after, and see results!
Hosted by Mica Pineda, our program included a live demo using real hair extensions to reveal the effects of the Tsubaki shampoo and conditioner on air-dried hair, versus another brand. This is to show how Tsubaki can make hair more manageable and save styling time.
As the first few who’ve tried the brand before its official launch here, we also invited our Trial&Splendor participants to share their thoughts and experience blind-testing Tsubaki’s shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask.
Lastly, we discovered Tsubaki’s full range, which is now available in Watson’s and Lazada: the Premium Moist & Repair shampoo and conditioner that’s ideal for frizzy and unmanageable hair; the Premium Volume & Repair shampoo and conditioner for limp or lifeless hair; and the Premium Ex Repair Mask, for instant salon-quality hair repair with zero wait time.
We are grateful to the Tsubaki team for doing this with us and to our lovely beauty community for joining us in this experience.
