Discover how The Super Good Retinol perfectly combined efficacy and gentleness in this edition of The Editor's Room featuring FRESH.

In this edition of The Editor’s Room featuring FRESH, we brought together skincare enthusiasts at Gallery by Chele in BGC, Taguig where we learned, dined, and created, all while celebrating the goodness of The Super Good Retinol collection.

To start things off, Eileen Shi, business development manager at Healthy Innovation Distribution Inc., introduced us to the Super Good Retinol Collection, taking us through its facial and body products. She highlighted how the retinol in this line is 200 times more effective than traditional formulas but still gentle on the skin, thanks to its Time-Release Encapsulated Technology. One key point she touched on was the inclusion of retinol in body care, which isn’t something we often see in a lot of skincare lines. This means users can enjoy anti-aging and skin-renewing benefits for their whole body and not just their face—a feature that really sets this line apart. On top of that, Shi pointed out how affordable the collection is, making it a great choice for anyone looking for effective and accessible products without breaking the bank.

To help us better understand this groundbreaking retinol technology, we had the pleasure of hearing from esteemed dermatologists Dr. Erin Tababa-Santos and Dr. Bea Chan. They explained how the new Time Release Encapsulated Retinol Technology is setting a new standard for how retinol works with our skin. Instead of releasing all the retinol at once—which can often lead to irritation—this technology gradually releases it over time. This means it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin types, minimizing redness and irritation while still delivering lasting benefits.

They also tackled some common myths about retinol, explaining that with advancements like this, even those new to retinol can incorporate it into their routines without worrying about over-exfoliation or irritation. One important takeaway was that while this technology makes retinol more user-friendly, finding the right frequency, concentration, and application method for our skin might still involve a bit of trial and error, reminding us that skincare is still personal. At the end of the day, it’s still important to listen to your skin and adjust your routine as needed.

After the insightful discussion on retinol, guests enjoyed a delightful seven-course meal where each dish was not just a treat for the taste buds but also thoughtfully crafted to tell a story, drawing parallels between The Super Good Retinol’s ingredients and benefits with the ingredients of each dish. The connection between what was on our plates and the benefits of The Super Good Retinol line was a nice touch as it really opened our eyes to how carefully formulated these products are. It highlighted how the dishes can nourish and nurture our bodies, much like the ingredients in FRESH’s retinol formulations work to renew and refresh our skin. It was a truly immersive experience that wasn’t just a feast for the palate but also for the mind!

To top off the afternoon, guests enjoyed a fun flower arrangement workshop where they let their creativity shine. Led by Mox Vergano, a junior florist from August Creative Studio, everyone learned the ins and outs of crafting beautiful floral designs. By the end of the session, each guest took home their unique flower arrangements—a lovely and meaningful keepsake from an afternoon that truly celebrated beauty and self-care.

With the launch of its Super Good Retinol, FRESH proved that we can have the best of both worlds—high efficacy without compromising on gentleness. The event was a wonderful celebration of this innovation, and was a perfect combination of learning and creativity, reminding us all that skincare is a beautiful journey best enjoyed together.
