Too Cool For You: Barenbliss Introduces Steel-Tipped Applicators for Lips
Cooling metal tips have long been a go-to in eye care, loved for their depuffing and soothing feel—but on a lip product? That’s something new. Korean beauty brand Barenbliss puts a fresh spin on lip color with its Peach Makes Perfect Lip Tint – Steel Edition, which features a steel-tipped “Hugging Diamond Ice Applicator” designed to glide over lips with a cooling touch.
This concept is equal parts sensorial and functional: The steel stays naturally cold, offering a refreshing feel (especially in heat and humidity), while also improving precision and hygiene. The lip tint formula itself is just as carefully crafted—lightweight and glossy, with nine nourishing ingredients and long-wear color-lock technology. It’s a novel pairing of skincare-inspired design and K-beauty flair that makes the lip tint not just feel new, but cool in every sense.
To cap off your look, glam up your eyes with the Roll to Length Steel Mascara, which also features—you guessed it—a steel applicator: a 0.27mm ultra-slim wand designed for precise, hygienic application and long-lasting lift.

Elizabeth Arden’s Visible Brightening Capsules Just Got a Science-Backed Refresh
From the cult-favorite Eight Hour® Cream to the antioxidant-powered Prevage line, Elizabeth Arden has long held a place in the vanities of skinthusiasts everywhere. This year, the brand revisits one of its brightening staples with the relaunch of its Visible Brightening Clearly Radiant Spot Correcting Capsules—now updated with a more potent formula that delivers faster, visible results.
The reformulation focuses on both efficacy and ease: Each tiny but mighty capsule contains a concentrated dose of encapsulated Vitamin C (178 times more potent than traditional forms), alongside five skin-brightening ingredients and Advanced MIX Technology™, which works across multiple stages of pigmentation to target dark spots more precisely. There’s also Phyto-Ceramides to help support the skin barrier, reduce potential irritation and redness, and improve overall tone and texture.
For those new to capsule formats, this one is especially intuitive: single-use, biodegradable, and ideal for travel, with a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly without feeling heavy. Just don’t forget your sun shield—the formula is designed to work in tandem with your sunscreen for enhanced protection against new pigmentation.

Meet Perfect Nonsense: Avon’s Fun, Disruptive Take on Fragrance for Gen Z
Avon is shaking up the fragrance scene with Perfect Nonsense, a bold new collection two years in the making. Created in partnership with world-renowned fragrance houses and perfumers—including Givaudan’s Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié and Shyamala Maisondieu, Florian Gallo, and Pascal Gaurin—the collection is a playful reimagining of Avon’s rich fragrance heritage. “Fragrance has always been part of Avon’s DNA,” says Jowie Dizon, head of beauty innovation at Avon Philippines. “With younger consumers becoming more engaged in the category, it felt like the right time to create something fun, expressive, and unexpected.”
Made with Gen Zs in mind, the new trio of scents invites bold self-expression. Peppery Peaches is a sweet-spicy blend of juicy peach and pink peppercorn by Maisondieu and Bouazzaoui Grillié. Bamboozie Cocktail, crafted by Gallo, fuses bamboo, tonic, and juniper for a fresh, earthy scent inspired by Mediterranean summer parties. And Choco Tuberose, by Gaurin, mixes rich chocolate with opulent yet airy Tuberose flowers for a uniquely sensual fragrance—perfect for nights out or whenever you want to stand out. To complete the scent experience, each fragrance also has a matching antiperspirant and deodorant.
According to Avon’s 2024 Future of Beauty report, over half of 18 to 24-year-olds globally enjoy layering different scents to create something uniquely their own—and many prefer to keep their fragrance choices a secret. With its mix-and-match appeal and accessible price points, Perfect Nonsense taps into this desire for playful experimentation and personal scent storytelling.

Diptyque: The Scents We Keep Coming Back To
Some fragrances come and go with the season. Others earn a permanent place in rotation because they do something few others can. There’s a timeless quality to Diptyque fragrances that makes them feel current no matter the season. They’re well-constructed and distinctive, and many of them are inspired by places or memories, which gives each one a sense of familiarity. Apart from being just scents you wear, they’re ones you return to because they take you somewhere.
A few standouts from the house continue to reflect that approach—scents that feel just as relevant now as when they first launched. L’Eau des Hespérides is a sharp, green take on citrus. It’s fresh but not sweet with a dry, slightly bitter edge that keeps it feeling clean and crisp. Ilio is a relaxing floral fruity fragrance inspired by Mediterranean midsummer, it blends prickly pear and light florals into something smooth and easy to wear. Philosykos is one of Diptyque’s most recognizable scents, and for good reason. It’s inspired by sun-soaked fig trees in Greece. It captures the full picture of a fig tree—not just the fruit, but the leaves and the wood as well, resulting in green, milky, and well-rounded scent that wears easily in any season.

A Fresher Take on a Classic: Chanel N°5 L’Eau
Few fragrances are as storied as Chanel N°5, and reworking it comes with high expectations. Originally launched in 2016 under the direction of in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, this modern interpretation of the 1921 classic trades the powdery, soapy signatures of the original for something cleaner and more transparent.
It opens with crisp citrus: mandarin, lemon, and orange softened by aldehydes and a trace of neroli. The floral heart—rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang—remains, but feels airier and more diffused. A base of white musk, vetiver, and cedarwood brings a soft, skin-like warmth.
It’s N°5 made lighter, more transparent, and more wearable day to day. It gives us a new way to experience a classic, proof that even the most established scents can be reimagined without losing their identity.
