When I reflect on the journey of building The Beauty Edit, one word comes to mind: purpose. From the beginning, this venture wasn’t just about creating a beauty platform. It was about filling a gap, challenging conventions, and elevating standards. We sought to reimagine what a beauty brand could be—not just a business but a community built on trust, integrity, and genuine connection.
Starting with no capital, just a vision, and the lessons I carried from my media career, I knew we had to approach everything with intention. I learned from great mentors that success comes from doing exceptionally well wherever you are planted and working with unwavering passion and purpose. When I saw an opportunity to connect the beauty and communication worlds in a fresh, meaningful way at a time when it was needed, I knew I had to give it a try. We brought the quality known to print magazines to social media, meeting our audience where they already were, and pioneered something that would amplify how editors, creators, consumers, and beauty brands connect.
Our values have always been our compass. We care deeply about quality—not just in the products we share or the projects we work on, but in how we connect with people. Who we are online is exactly who we are or try to be in person—approachable, fun, kind, and intentional. We try to lead with heart and let what we do speak for itself.
